In recent years, Kim has taken the lead in spearheading numerous initiatives at Mend. These include the establishment of a Fellowship Program for Post-Grads, collaboration on two Clinical Trials with nearby academic institutions, and the introduction of on-site Acupuncture programs in three area Cancer Centers. Kim’s dedication to our field is unwavering, and she tirelessly champions our profession. Outside of her professional life, Kim finds joy in laughter, the great outdoors, and spending quality time with her family in Baltimore, MD.

Catherine holds a Master of Acupuncture with a Chinese Herbal Medicine Specialization from Maryland University of Integrative Health. Outside of the clinic, she is catching up with family and friends and learning something new.

Dani’s fascination with Chinese Medicine began during her volunteer work in a holistic women’s recovery program and deepened when her beloved parents were diagnosed with breast and colon conditions. This allowed her to witness the pivotal role of preventative medicine in their treatment.
She takes pleasure in creating tailored, goal-oriented treatment plans, approaching each case with diligence, much like a detective, to uncover clues from the body, mind, and spirit, helping patients regain balance. She also enjoys sharing the theoretical and wisdom aspects of this ancient medicine with curious individuals.
Dani specializes in treating gastrointestinal issues, migraines, allergies, arthritis, neuropathy, fatigue, pediatrics, oncology, menstrual and sleep irregularities, as well as mental health, addiction, complex trauma, and climate crisis grief. She emphasizes a safe, welcoming, and trauma-informed clinical experience for patients.
Outside the clinic, Dani embraces nature, whether it’s in a garden, on a hiking trail, during camping trips, kayaking feeding, or exploring on snowshoes. She also enjoys creative pursuits like upcycled art, baking, cooking, handbuilding ceramics, volunteering for a local wildlife center and quality time with her person, friends and her cats.

Dr. Tamara was drawn to acupuncture after experiencing transformational healing for back pain and reproductive health. She earned her Doctorate of Acupuncture at the Won Institute of Graduate Studies.
Through acupuncture and holistic therapies, Tamara helps clients overcome physical and emotional barriers to restore balance and wellness. She treats a range of conditions, including back pain, sciatica, anxiety, depression, digestive issues, insomnia, immune concerns, and neurological disorders. Her approach integrates Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Five Element, and Traditional Korean Medicine (TKM). She is also a Master-level Reiki practitioner and a certified Acupuncture Detox Specialist.
With a background as a corporate professional, competitive athlete, and Virginia Military Institute cadet, Tamara understands firsthand what it’s like to push through physical, mental, and emotional challenges. Those experiences shaped her belief in the body’s innate ability to heal and inspire her work helping others find balance, relief, and renewed energy through acupuncture.
Outside of the clinic, Tamara enjoys woodworking, hiking, and reading.

As a practitioner, Dr. Julia is passionate about providing care that combines evidence-based science with the innate wisdom of the human body. She believes healing is a collaborative process and cares deeply about incorporating sensitivity, listening and patient empowerment into healthcare. She enjoys treating a variety of conditions including digestive disorders, autoimmune diseases, headaches, anxiety, sleep disturbances and menstrual cycle imbalances. She is particularly interested in treating the psychoemotional roots of pain and trauma, partnering with patients on their journeys to recovery.
Outside of the treatment room, Julia is a poet, singer and songwriter. She enjoys a good laugh, baking, watching spooky movies and cuddling with her cat.

Staycie is fond of scientific research and strives to find a balance between scientific and holistic approaches to healing. She also enjoys broadening her knowledge of different Chinese Medicine strategies and theories. Isabel thrives in guiding individuals through times of change, providing gentle, transformative treatments to help them find harmony and wellbeing. She also loves working with those struggling with mental health, headaches/musculoskeletal pain, and helping new parents prepare for pregnancy and birth. Following her Master of Acupuncture program at the Maryland University of Integrative Health, she completed a year-long program on trauma recovery (Tao of Trauma). Sarah weaves trauma-informed somatic practices into sessions. She is skilled at supporting and empowering clients to address the mind/body connections co-mingling with pain and healing.
Prior to becoming an acupuncturist, Sarah completed a Master’s Degree in social work and public policy and has experience in non-profit adult education and local and federal government. In treatment, she acknowledges how socio-political-economic systems and seasonal rhythms shape our well-being.
Sarah enjoys porch sitting, music listening, book reading, snack eating, and wander-y adventuring. She’s often thinking about how we’re all tender and tough human mammals navigating these times on planet Earth and considering how we can do it together with as much ease, play, pleasure, and liberation for all.

Dr. Livesay sees patients with concerns of stress, trauma-related symptomatology, as well as neurological symptoms including headaches/migraines, PTSD, depression, anxiety, Bell’s palsy, trigeminal neuralgia, and those seeking optimal brain functioning or experiencing unexplained symptoms.
Dr. Livesay is also well-versed in women’s health and oncology. She utilizes the various pillars of Chinese Medicine to treat patients including acupuncture/electroacupuncture, nutritional therapy, Chinese herbs, exercise, gua sha, tui na, and essential oils. Liana is a gentle, curious and compassionate practitioner that acknowledges the interconnected complexities of being a human on Earth. They support patients in achieving their health and wellness goals, however big or small, with a variety of tools and modalities. In 2018, Ray began pursuing a Master of Acupuncture degree at the Maryland University of Integrative Health. Today, as a licensed acupuncturist, Ray utilizes many skills and modalities tailored to each patient’s special needs.
Ray is always adding to his skill set to help patients live their best lives. He is particularly interested in easing arthritis pain, helping seniors thrive, and easing the effects of trauma. He employs principles of choice, collaboration, empowerment, trustworthiness, and safety to create a welcoming space for all Patients.

Susannah is passionate about natural medicine, and while she has a general practice, she specializes in women’s health. Her sessions often include Reiki, gentle abdominal massage, and herbal consultation. Susannah has a Master’s Degree in Medical Anthropology and has traveled in Peru, including as a practitioner in a clinic for underserved Andean communities. She and her husband recently relocated to Baltimore, and she enjoys practicing Neelakantha meditation and yoga in her free time.

Curious about the interconnectedness of culture, healing, and disease, Dr. Jessica is committed to promoting health equity and conducting research on treatment effectiveness of alternative, complementary, Eastern, and supplemental therapies.
Her work has been published in Medical Acupuncture and she has presented posters at conferences held by the Society for Acupuncture Research. In addition to treating patients, Dr. Jessica is completing research she began as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Washington.

In 2021, during personal and global upheaval, Darius relocated to Baltimore and began studying massage at Cortiva Institute. He earned his license in April 2022. Trebreh is a Licensed Massage Therapist with over six years of experience specializing in orthopedic and sports-focused bodywork. With a degree in Exercise Science, he blends clinical knowledge with hands-on skill to help clients recover, perform, and move at their best. In addition to massage, Trebreh has extensive experience in assisted stretching, which he integrates to support flexibility, mobility, and injury prevention.
Outside of the clinic, Trebreh is an adventurer at heart. He enjoys staying fit, learning about nutrition and performance, and exploring new cultures through travel. His curiosity and love for movement continue to fuel his growth personally and professionally.

In 2017, Shanté experienced three car accidents within six months—an event that reshaped her life and set her on the path to massage therapy. That period not only deepened her appreciation for healing work, but also inspired her commitment to educating others about the importance of receiving care from knowledgeable, skilled therapists, just as they would from trusted healthcare professionals.
Shanté is certified in Ashiatsu, prenatal massage, and Thai massage, and she specializes in deep tissue, sports massage, and therapeutic relaxation. Her sessions blend technical skill with meaningful guidance; clients often leave with practical tools for improving sleep, stretching effectively, and supporting their own wellbeing between visits.
She has extensive experience working with individuals navigating chronic pain, stress, and trauma, as well as those with fibromyalgia, lupus, cancer recovery and post-operative needs, prenatal patients, bodybuilders, and a wide range of athletes. Shanté brings compassion, strength, and knowledge to every session.
Naturopathy
Dr. Kargman enjoys working collaboratively with other healthcare providers to provide the best, most comprehensive care for her patients. When not in the office, Dr. Kargman enjoys spending time with her wife and children (both 2 and 4 legged), creatively cooking, exploring the outdoors (hiking, kayaking, or biking), playing pickleball and traveling the world with camera in hand.
